Meteor Pro

Meteor Pro is a multicast file distribution system. Meteor system provides an effective solution to the problem of distribution of files using multicast technology especially over VSAT links.

Meteor Pro incorporates business work flow for distributing files with authentication and authorization of recipients for each transfer. Meteor Pro can encrypt each transmission for data security. Meteor can send multiple files as a set. A set can be defined with intended recipients and can be optionally scheduled for automatic transfer.

Reliability was a major design criteria for Meteor Pro. It is resilient to adverse line conditions and can efficiently transfer data even under high latency, unreliable line conditions.

Meteor is a software system designed to work on a variety of Linux operating systems. It has two components: Meteor Pro server that runs on the center location and and Meteor Pro Client that runs on remote locations.
